9-story apartment complex with roof-top pool formally opens in New Brunswick

The city’s latest luxury apartment building recently held a formal opening for the complex on Neilson Street that has a roof-top pool with cabanas and grills, a dog park and pet spa.

The Quincy, a 393-unit, nine story building opened last month, offering studio and one- and two-bedroom apartment ranging in size from 503 to 1,236 square feet.

Mayor James Cahill said the complex “provides an urban oasis located near the finest shops, restaurants and arts and cultural centers.”

Built by the Phoenix, Arizona.-based Alliance Residential Company, the complex will have units with month leases from $1,720 to $3,410 a month.

Brad Hamel, senior vice-president for Alliance’s northeast region, said the complex offers a “unique concept of exclusive luxury, which offers residents a world of style, flawless service and infinite class.”

Among the features are a clubroom with a demonstration kitchen, a parking garage, bicycle storage room, media and entertainment room, fitness center and an outdoor courtyard.

The complex, at the corner of Neilson and New streets, is about three blocks north of a lot where a separate developer has proposed construction of a 67-unit, six-story apartment complex.

Community Builders, a Boston-based developer, is expected to come before the city zoning board June 25 for that six-story complex planned for 50 Neilson Street, between Hassart Street and Tabernacle Way.
